Alpha Omega Psi (AOP) is a local honor society for Emerging Scholars Program (ESP) students who demonstrate strong academic performance and engagement at the university. Students who meet the requirements in their first year are eligible for induction in their second year.
Students are eligible for AOP if they meet the following criteria:
- In good academic standing – minimum 2.5 GPA
- Attended at least 5 of the 6 coaching meetings per semester (including makeup meetings)
- Attended at least 3 ESP events per semester
Two of the most significant benefits of membership in AOP are resume building and opportunities for leadership as a member of the executive board (e-board).
AOP hosts two major events during the year, the Fall Induction Ceremony and Transition to Sophomore Year Panel.
