Class Assignment

Your registration appointment is assigned based on your PROJECTED CLASS assignment. To help you determine your PROJECTED CLASS assignment, refer to the following example:

Cumulative credits earned before the current term started = 48
Credits you are registered for in the current term = 15
Total credits = 63

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR PROJECTED CLASS ASSIGNMENT DOES NOT INCLUDE YOUR SUMMER COURSES.
Using your total credit figure, refer to the ranges noted below to determine your PROJECTED CLASS assignment:

Senior: 90 or more credits
Junior: minimum of 54 but less than 90 credits
Sophomore: minimum of 24 but less than 54 credits
Freshman: less than 24 credits

Based on the example above, the student would be advised and allowed to register during the junior advising and registration period.

To stay on track to graduate in four years, it is recommended that students take 15 credits per semester. To graduate on time you should complete 30 credits at the end of the first year; 60 at the end of sophomore year; 90 at the end of junior year; and 120 at the end of senior year.
