Students who drop a course after the add/drop period for the session or term in which they are enrolled and before the last day to withdraw will receive a grade of W on their transcript and the credits will count as credits attempted but not earned. This is called a course withdrawal.
Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students who wish to withdraw from a course they do not intend to complete are required to meet with a professional advisor in the Academic Advising Office. Because course withdrawals may have an impact on financial aid eligibility and progress toward degree completion, where necessary, students will also be connected to the Student Navigation Center by the professional advisor. After meeting with the advisor, students may complete the withdrawal in their Navigator account by using the drop action in the Manage Classes tile.
