Does my Counseling and Health Services visit cost me money?

Frequently Asked Question

Does my Counseling and Health Services visit cost me money?

Answer

Like your primary care medical office, CHS bills each student’s medical insurance for reimbursement of health-related services. We do not bill insurance companies for counseling visits at this time. We consider the mandatory college fee that students pay to be the annual co-pay, which means that no additional co-pay is required to use our services. In addition, we do not balance bill students or families for services not covered at 100 percent under their plans. This means that any charges not paid fully by insurance plans, such as deductibles, will not be billed to policy subscribers or students and will be written off.
