In order to utilize the Salem State University Gassett Fitness Center and participate in all related Campus Life and Recreation programs, activities and events, each individual must read and accept the waiver of liability, assumption of risk, indemnification, and consent for emergency treatment language and participant policies and procedures contained within the Gassett Fitness Center Registration Form/Facility Access Waiver at the time of initial enrollment.
University employees (faculty, staff and administrators), and affiliate members (alumni, community, retiree, etc.), if this is the first time you are utilizing the Fusion web portal, please follow the REGISTER – CREATE A NEW USER ACCOUNT directions to create your account before logging in. If you have already created an account and have log-in information, please follow the Fusion Web Portal Account Login steps below.
Register: Create a New User Account (Faculty, Staff, Administrators Only)
- Only follow these steps if you are a university employee (faculty/staff/administrator) and this is your FIRST time utilizing the Fusion web portal. If you have already created an account and have log-in information, please follow login instructions for students and university employees.
- Go to the Gassett Fitness Center Fusion web portal.
- Click on the Sign Up button in the upper right-hand corner
- Using the form, please fill out all information EXCEPT the Member Information box. Once your account has been created, a Member ID will be assigned.
- Please note, you should:
- Use your SSU Username and Email Address (don’t include @salemstate.edu in your username)
- Use your SSU Password
- Once done, click the Register button
- After creating your account, you will need to verify your email address. An email verification will be sent to the email address provided, go to the email and click the link to verify.
- Once you verify your account, email campusrec@salemstate.edu so we can activate single sign-on capabilities
- This account can now be used to Log In to the Fusion member portal following the steps below.
Fusion Web Portal Account Log-In: Salem State Users (Students and University Employees)
- Go to the Gassett Fitness Center Fusion web portal
- Click on the Log In button in the upper right-hand corner
- Under Login Options, click SSU User Login
- You will be redirected to the SSU Single Sign-On page
- Upon logging in, you will be directed to the online Facility Access Waiver/Registration Form. Begin reading all sections of the facility access waiver/registration form and scroll down.
- At the bottom of the page, you will find the Accept Now and Accept Later buttons
- To accept the waiver, click Accept Now
If you select Accept Later, you will not be able to use the Salem State University Gassett Fitness Center or participate in any related campus life and recreation programs, activities, or events until you accept. The next time you log into the Gassett Fitness Center Fusion web portal, you will be directed to the Facility Access Waiver/Registration Form.
Register: Create a New User Account (Affiliate Members Only)
- Only follow these steps if you are an affiliate member (alumni, community, retiree, etc.) and this is your FIRST time utilizing the Fusion web portal. If you have already created an account and have log-in information, please follow the affiliate login instructions.
- Go to the Gassett Fitness Center Fusion web portal
- Click on the Sign Up button in the upper right-hand corner
- Using the form, please fill out all information EXCEPT the Member Information box. Once your account has been created, a Member ID will be assigned.
- Make sure to use a strong password using the requirements listed on the form.
- Once done, click the Register button
- After creating your account, you will need to verify your email address. An email verification will be sent to the email address provided, go to the email and click the link to verify.
- This account can now be used to Log In to the Fusion member portal following the login instructions for affiliate members.
Fusion Web Portal Account Log-In: Affiliate Members (Alumni, Community, Retiree, etc.)
- Go to the Gassett Fitness Center Fusion web portal
- Click on the Log In button in the upper right-hand corner
- Under Login Options, click Non-SSU User Login
- Enter the username and password that you created
- Upon logging in, you will be directed to the online Facility Access Waiver/Registration Form. Begin reading all sections of the facility access waiver/registration form and scroll down.
- At the bottom of the page, you will find the Accept Now and Accept Later buttons
- To accept the waiver, click Accept Now
If you select Accept Later, you will not be able to use the Salem State University Gassett Fitness Center or participate in any related campus life and recreation programs, activities, or events until you accept. The next time you log into the Gassett Fitness Center Fusion web portal, you will be directed to the Facility Access Waiver/Registration Form.
