How to- Create your new Student Navigator Account

Visit the Navigator sign in page.

Select "Create Account".

Answer the two questions listed within the first step by clicking the sliding button to the right of each question

1. Question 1 reads: Have you ever applied to, taken a course at, or been employed by Salem State?

2. Question 2 reads: Are you on a student visa? 

3. If you answered YES to either of these questions, please proceed to Steps 11 and 12. If you answered NO, please follow steps 4-10.

Under "New Student Name", you must enter at a minimum your *First Name and *Last name.

Under "Address", the *Country defaults to the United States. To change the country, click on the drop-down menu. You must enter your *Street Address, *City, *State, and *Postal (zip code).

Under "Phone/Email" you must enter both your phone and email address.

Under "Citizenship Status", in the drop-down menu next to *Status indicate your citizenship status.

Under "SSN", click on the sliding button to change it to "Yes" or "No", to indicate if you have a social security number or not. If you select "Yes", the sub-header "*SSN" will pop up below the initial question. There are three text boxes where you will enter your SSN.

Under "Additional Information", enter your date of birth in the appropriate text box with the format mm/dd/yyyy. If you choose, enter your gender, heritage, and ethnic group in the drop-down menus. You will choose your intended course level in the last drop-down menu within this section. Select "Continue" on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.

Confirm the information you entered on the "Student Confirm" page under "Review New Student Information". Then, select "Continue" on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.

If you answered yes to Question 1, select "Continue" to access the pop-up window with the heading "User Account may already exist". Select the "Navigator SIS" link in this window to be redirected to the login page.

If you answered yes to Question 2, select "Continue" to access the pop-up window with the heading "User Account may already exist". Read the information on contacting the Center for International Education for assistance.
