Current students who wish to drop or withdraw from a first year seminar must speak with the First Year Experience (FYE) office prior to the deadline for either dropping courses or withdrawing from a course (as determined each semester).

First year seminars are required courses as part of the General Education program at Salem State University and must be completed within the first 30 credits of a student's academic experience. However, given the nature of the course content, it is HIGHLY recommended that students complete their first year seminar during their first semester of classes.
