If I receive a C- in a major course, do I need to retake it?

Please refer to the catalog (catalog.salemstate.edu).  Each department has their own rules for individual courses.  Bear in mind that the minimum university major GPA requirement for graduation for undergraduates is 2.000 and 3.000 for graduates.  A C- grade is only equal to a 1.700 GPA.
