Microsoft Authenticator App Instructions for Android

Use the Microsoft Authenticator app for easy, secure sign-ins for all your online accounts using multi-factor authentication, passwordless, or password autofill. You also have additional account management options for your Microsoft personal, work or school accounts.

Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app

Install the latest version of the Authenticator app, based on your operating system:

1. On your Android device, go to Google Play to download and install the Authenticator app.
2. Open the App.
3. Read the privacy statement and select Agree.
4. Select Add work or school account.
5. Enter your Salem State email address and select Next.
6. Enter your Salem State password and select Sign in.
7. Verify your identity. Select the Text method.
8. Enter the 6-digit code sent to your text messaging app and select Verify.
9. Select Finish.
10. You can now use the authenticator app to verify your identity when Microsoft requires it.
