Using a strong password helps keep both your own sensitive personal information and valuable University resources safe.
Salem State password requirements:
- passwords are case-sensitive
- must be between 14 and 64 characters long
- must contain at least one character from three of the following categories:
- (A-Z) an uppercase letter,
- (a-z) a lowercase letter,
- (0-9) a number,
- (! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + \ | ] } [ { ; : / ? . > <) a special character,
- must not contain three or more consecutive characters present in your full name (for example, if your name is John Smith, your password can't contain joh, ohn, smi, mit, or ith).
