Is is possible to get into a class that is closed / full?

Frequently Asked Question

Is is possible to get into a class that is closed / full?

Answer

Only a department chairperson  for day classes, the instructor for CPS courses, or the Program Coordinator for graduate courses can grant permission to get into a closed class.  For some lab courses electronic permission may not work, and a written/signed permission from the chairperson must be provided to the Student Navigation Center by the student if permission is granted.  Please note that in most cases, it is unlikely that a request to get permission for a closed class will be granted.

NOTE: Students may not sit in classes for which they are not registered.
