What ITS does not recommend
ITS has certain recommendations based on years of experience with a variety of manufacturers and models of computers. Although less expensive computers are available in retail stores than through our purchasing department or through special programs like MassAdvantage, features are usually lacking, which makes them less desirable to recommend to our user community.

Software
MS Office is available at no cost to currently enrolled students and can be obtained through the student's Office 365 email account. Various discounted and free software can be downloaded from the university software library. If you prefer not to install multiple applications or programs on your computer or just want to explore, please consider using Apps Anywhere to access and use Salem State software on any computer or mobile device wherever you are.
