In response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the delivery of courses, the University has approved a temporary Pass/No Pass grading policy for the spring and fall 2020 semesters for all undergraduate courses except those who have been deemed exempt. If you wish you to receive a letter grade instead of a P for some or all of your fall 2020 courses, you may request that in your Navigator account. The form will not be available in Navigator until grade rosters have been generated in December.
The letter grade selection form will only be available until January 11, 2021.
To request a letter grade for a course, click on the "Academic Records" tile from your Navigator home page.
In the left-hand navigation, select the "Request Letter Grade" option.
To request a course to receive a letter grade, click on the Request Letter Grade button next to that course. You will not be able to request a letter grade until the grades for that class have been posted by your faculty member.
Not all courses are eligible to receive a P/NP grade. This includes courses that haven’t been graded yet, withdrawn or incomplete courses, exempt courses and courses that are traditionally graded P/F only. Please see the FAQ page for any questions about the Pass/No-Pass policy.
Once you’ve clicked the button next to the course you want to receive a letter grade for, you will receive a pop-up confirmation. Grades will change from a P/NP to a letter grade within 24 hours. Once you choose to receive a letter grade for a course, you cannot click on the button again and you cannot change back to receive a P grade.
If none of your classes are eligible to request a letter grade, a pop-up message alerting you that you cannot request a letter grade will display.
