Financial Aid (FAFSA)
In order to be considered for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year at fafsa.ed.gov

Holds and Tasks
To view your holds and tasks, please use the following instructions:

Once at the Student Homepage, click the "Tasks" tile

Complete all tasks, reaching out to other offices as needed

On the menu on left-hand side of the screen, click the "Holds" tile

You may view the attached "Holds" chart to see the different types of holds. To the right of the hold, the department that placed the hold is listed.
NOTE: You may click on the hold to see the reason it was placed on your account. If you are unsure of how to resolve the hold, please contact the department that placed the hold for assistance. The department's information can be found by clicking on the department name under "Department".
Housing
Students interested in living on campus in Fall 2022 must pay their housing deposit through Navigator by May 2 and are required to complete the online housing application on Salem State's Housing Portal by June 20, 2022.

Make an Appointment with a Professional Advisor!
Professional advisors in the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) are available to meet with students to assist with their transition back to the university, virtually through Zoom, email or by telephone. We strongly encourage students to download the Navigate Student app to schedule an appointment. Students can also sign up through the desktop version of Navigate. Instructions on how to schedule an appointment through Navigate are below:

Advising/Registration for Fall 2022
Undergraduate advising is set to begin on Monday, March 21 and extends through Wednesday, April 7. Students are required to meet with their faculty advisor (CAE professional advisors can help you make this appointment). All day student enrollment appointments are assigned based on projected class level. Students with a priority registration appointment begin registering at 7:00 a.m. Regular registration appointments begin at 4:30 p.m.

Summer Course Registration
We strongly encourage students returning from a Leave of Absence to consult with a professional advisor in the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) prior to registering for summer courses.
