The Student Laptop Loan Program provides Chromebooks to Salem State University students experiencing a laptop emergency. Devices are available for educational use only and can be borrowed for situations such as preparing a class presentation, attending a conference, or completing coursework. Students may also request a loaner if their laptop is lost, stolen, malfunctioning, damaged, or if they do not have a laptop and need one for their studies.
To qualify, students must be actively enrolled in courses during the loan period. Students agree not to lend or transfer the equipment to anyone else.
To apply for a loaner Chromebook, please complete the Student Laptop Loan form.
The Information Technology Services (ITS) team will notify you when your loaner laptop is ready for pickup. Students are required to pick up the device in person and present valid identification at the Student Technology Resource Center, located in the Classroom Building, Second Floor (CC-2204).
