We understand that one of your concerns is how credits from your prior institution(s) will transfer to Salem State University. Following acceptance to the university, courses for which we have official transcripts on file will be entered to your record via a 'TCE' (Transfer Credit Evaluation). The TCE will list equivalencies for courses that have been reviewed before. Courses that need review will appear as 'no rule' or 'department discretion' and will automatically be reviewed by either Transfer Services or the faculty. Transfer Services facilitates the entire process, however you should check your email in case we need information from you. This process can take up to six weeks as each class must be looked at individually. You can check your Navigator account to see the courses that have been accepted once the transfer evaluation process has be initiated.
