Schedule an Appointment with Peer Tutoring

Step-by-step instructions to access the Navigate360 Student website (different from Navigator!) and schedule an appointment with Peer Tutoring. These instructions are for use with a desktop/laptop computer and not a mobile device.

  1. From the Salem State website, select "Sign In" in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Enter your Salem State University username in an email format (S0123456@salemstate.edu).
  3. On the next screen, enter your Salem State University password.
    1. If it is your first time logging in, you will be prompted to set up an authentication phone number.
    2. Enter the code sent to the phone number you provided.
  4. Once signed in, Select "Navigate360" from the black bar at the top of the screen.
  5. On the Navigate360 Login page, select "Login with your school account."
  6. Enter your Salem State Username (complete email address), then select the "Next" button.
  7. Enter your password (same as your email password), then select "Sign In".
  8. A successful login will bring you to your Navigate360 Student Dashboard.

Schedule Your Appointment

  1. From your homepage, select the “Appointments” link from the menu on the left. You will be brought to the Appointments page.
  2. Select the blue “Schedule an Appointment” button located at the upper left corner of the page. You will be brought to the New Appointment page.
  3. From the New Appointments page, select the following items from the dropdown menus.
    1. What type of appointment would you like to schedule?
      1. Select – “Tutoring & Learning Centers” from the dropdown menu.
    2. Service Field
      1. Peer Tutoring: Tutoring by Subject*

*If you do not see Peer Tutoring: Tutoring by Subject in the dropdown menu, it most likely means the tutor has not put their schedule on Navigate360 yet, or we do not currently have a tutor for courses you are registered in. Please email tutor@salemstate.edu to check on the status of a tutor for any of your courses.

4. Select the blue button labeled “Find Available Time”. You will be taken to a scheduling page.

  1. Select the course you would like a tutor for. If you do not see the course you want a tutor for listed, we likely do not have a tutor available for that course.
  2. Select a Date and Time from the availability on the right side of the screen. Select a time to progress to the appointment confirmation screen.

Note: Under the calendar, you can navigate to “How would you like to Meet” to see if you can search by in-person or online only modalities.

Confirm Your Appointment

  1. From the confirmation screen, review your Date and Time.
  2. To pick another Date and Time, select the "Go Back" link located at the top left of the screen.
  3. In the field labeled "Would you like to share anything else?" – Add any comments or questions you have for your tutor.
  4. Email Reminder Checkbox - You will receive an email reminder at your Salem State email address 24 hours before your appointment. Uncheck the box to opt out.
  5. Text Message Reminder Checkbox - You will be sent a text message reminder one hour before your appointment. Uncheck the box to opt out.
  6. Phone Number for Text Reminder Field - This field is pre-populated with the cell phone number on record. If you wish to opt out of receiving a text message reminder, delete the phone number in this field.
  7. Select the blue button labeled "Schedule" at the bottom of the page to finalize your appointment.
  8. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from Navigate. Please make sure to cancel your appointment through Navigate if you will not be able to make it.
