Frequently Asked Question
What is the difference between a cumulative and major GPA?
Answer
A cumulative GPA includes the grades for every course taken at Salem State University. A major GPA consists of only the grades for courses that fall under a student’s major discipline. Even though the university rule is that students must have major and cumulative GPAs of 2.000 or better in order to graduate, there are a few majors that have higher GPA requirements as well as minimum support course grade requirements.
