Configuring student e-mail on a Mac laptop
These instructions are intended to serve as reference and may vary slightly due to MAC OS version and device.
Add your Salem State University email account using the Microsoft Outlook app. SSU login information will be needed. If necessary please review the instructions for password reset.
To get started, be sure the Microsoft Outlook application is installed. If Outlook is not installed*, login to your Office 365 email account and install Office. (The installer includes Outlook).
> Launch Outlook (go to Applications to locate and launch the app). As soon as Outlook opens the email account used to login will automatically be detected and you will be prompted to add the email account. Click "Add firstname.lastname@example.org".
> The university email account you logged in with will now be added. Next, you will be re-directed to a SSU login page. Enter your SSU login information and click "Sign in"
> The next screen will indicate the account has been added. Click "Done".
Congratulations! Your SSU email account is now awtup and accessible through the Microsoft Outlook app.
*If Microsoft Outlook is not installed please refer to the install Office instructions.
