Salem State University Grants

Salem State University offers several university-funded grants to undergraduate students who meet grant eligibility requirements.

Unlike loans, grants are aid sources that generally do not have to be repaid and are considered gift assistance. The amount you are eligible to receive is based on several factors, including but not limited to financial need (as determined by the information from the FAFSA), high school GPA, or city and/or state of residency.

Students must complete the FAFSA to receive a university grant. If a student is eligible, the grant is applied automatically to their award package.
